Personal Log, stardate 95227.3:

I have enjoyed my experience here onboard the Livingstone so far. Everybody has been really nice, and meeting people has not been as difficult as I thought it would be.

I'm still in the process of unpacking. I managed to get a few paintings and family photos out of some storage containers and on the wall. But I was so tired last night I crawled into bed earlier than I usually do. When I woke up this morning, I took some books out and put them away on the bookshelf. Some personal favourites: The Foundation series written by Isaac Asimov that mom got my for Christmas when I was 12, and a first edition copy of Cosmos by Carl Sagan.Oh, and I found my bats and ball glove. I'm going to have to get down to a holodeck soon and get some swings in.

After I put some books away I managed to get some of Winston's food programmed into the food replicator. He wolfed breakfast down pretty fast. I've said it before and I'll say it again, I'm grateful to have him. I know he's getting on in years, and he won't be around forever, so I treasure every moment I have with him.

Speaking of mom, when I get home from work tonight, I'll try to finish the letter I wrote her and dad. It's been awhile, and sometimes I feel guilty because I don't write them for long periods of time. I should be a better son, and there is a lot of guilt there. I know they want me to be more like Parker, but I can't, I have to be me.

I'd better end this and go take a sonic shower. I'm due on the bridge in a little bit, and at some point today I have to talk to Dawson in Stellar Cartography. Busy as always I guess.
